Visa Inc. has signed an agreement to acquire a Santa Clara, Calif.-based technology company specializing in monetizing digital content. PlaySpan Inc. enables users to purchase digital goods in online games, digital media and social networks and provides the PlaySpan Ultimate Game Card through more than 50,000 North American retail locations and in at least 12 other countries.
