Whether a dispute is fraudulent or sincere, if a consumer initiates a chargeback it costs businesses time and money. The energy and expense devoted to avoiding and reducing chargebacks is evident and necessary. But a question businesses operating in the CNP space also must consider is: Are my chargebacks high enough?

  • RBI Annual Report Details CNP Changes - Sept. 2, 2010
    In its 2009-2010 annual report released recently, the Reserve Bank of India said it has taken a number of steps to address Internet and mobile technology payment solutions in the past year. To mitigate the risks arising from the use of credit and debit cards in e-commerce environments, it was mandated that all Card Not Present transactions should be additionally authenticated based on information not available on the card. 
  • Online Editing Service Takes PayPal for CNP Transactions - Sept. 2, 2010
    Editor World, an online editing service, said it is now accepting payments through PayPal. The Newport, Va.-based company, which enables corporate, academic and literary clients to upload documents for automatic editing, said the new payment option demonstrates Editor World’s ongoing commitment to facilitating seamless transactions, and maintaining the highest standards in online payment processing and security.
  • CRE Secure Provides Online Security via PayLeap - Aug. 30, 2010
    CRE Secure, a cloud-based secure payment solution for online merchants, announced that its service is now integrated with PayLeap, a company that offers electronic payment services. Online consumers of CRE clients are redirected to the company’s hosted payment platform that mirrors their trusted merchant’s website.
  • Online Resources Targets Utilities - Aug. 30, 2010
    Online Resources Corporation, an online financial services provider, said that over the last six months it has signed new agreements with more than 40 utilities across the nation for various services within its eCom Advantage suite of electronic billing solutions.
