JetPay, Cardis Partner to Reduce Processing costs for Low-Value Transactions
Jan. 22, 2015
JetPay Payment Services, a unit of card-not-present payment processor JetPay, recently revealed a partnership with Cardis USA offering digital content providers a new small-payments processing solution. The company said it has integrated Cardis’ technology for its entertainment, publishing and gaming merchant clients that perform a significant volume of low-value transactions. JetPay clients can leverage the Cardis solution to bundle multiple small transactions so they can be processed as one larger-value transaction. The company said this could save merchants specializing in low-value transactions up to 70 percent in processing costs.
“Currently, the music industry relies heavily on third-party, online retailers to sell music to fans,” said Nebo Djurdjevic, chief operating officer at Cardis International. “These online retailers take 30 percent or more of every dollar sold through their platform with a large share of this percentage going toward covering the cost of processing small payments. Cardis and JetPay are excited to offer our new solution that reduces this expense making traditional credit/debit card payments affordable for small payments.”
