ClearSale Launches for U.S. Merchants
April 28, 2016
ClearSale, one of a growing number of fraud prevention companies offering merchants a guarantee against chargebacks, today announced its solution is available to U.S.-based e-commerce merchants. The company, which has offices in São Paulo, Brazil and Miami, was founded in 2001 by former Olympic hurdler Pedro Chiamulera. ClearSale leverages a combination of machine learning, manual review and “actionable problem solving” to render an approve/decline decision. Merchants pay a per-transaction fee on approved transactions and ClearSale guarantees their decision by covering chargeback costs on any approved transactions that result in fraud.
“Over the past decade, we’ve seen fraud tactics evolve much more quickly than the average merchant can respond, which is why we developed our fully outsourced solution. It’s important also to have a neutral agent in the process, always targeting the best risk exposure for each business,” Chiamulera said. “Our approach relieves merchants of a costly and time-consuming fraud-management burden so they can focus on their core business.”
