Chase Checkout Enables End-to-End Mobile, Online and POS Card Acceptance

E-commerce processing giant Chase Paymentech on Tuesday launched a new solution that enables merchants to accept credit- and debit-card payments on mobile devices, online or at the POS. The company said Chase Checkout makes it possible for merchants to work with one payment provider regardless of how they want to accept the payment.
The Dallas-based merchant acquirer is well known for its work with e-commerce merchants and has been serving brick-and-mortar merchants for some time, but providing merchants the ability to accept cards using a mobile device marks new territory for Chase. Merchants download the Chase Mobile Checkout app, which enables merchants to swipe payment cards on an Apple or Android device, and they receive a free card reader from Chase that plugs into the phone’s headphone jack.
