CardNotPresent.com Launches CNP Training, Certification
Dec. 16, 2013
CardNotPresent.com today announced it is now offering a series of online courses for merchants, vendors and acquirers that, when completed, will result in recognized certification for various areas of expertise within the card-not-present payments industry. CardNotPresent.com CNP Training is powered by The Fraud Practice, a consultancy that has been advising card-not-present merchants and developing educational programs to enrich their knowledge base in the industry for 12 years.
“CardNotPresent.com and The Fraud Practice have collaborated on several high quality market research projects over the past several years and we are excited to announce a formal partnership to expand our collaboration to include The Fraud Practice’s library of online training and certification programs,” said David Montague, founder and president of The Fraud Practice. “CardNotPresent.com and The Fraud Practice are both recognized in the industry as being premier providers of groundbreaking original content pertaining to the CNP payments and fraud prevention.”
Merchants and service providers can choose from more than 30 online courses from the basics of e-commerce credit-card acceptance, chargebacks, fraud prevention, online authentication and mobile payment acceptance to more advanced topics like understanding geolocation and device identification, accepting ACH payments, evaluating comprehensive fraud solutions and exploring e-commerce in different countries.
Individual courses are offered online and cost between $100 and $500 per person. Successful completion of each course is accompanied by official certification by the Fraud Practice, which has been certifying e-commerce payments and fraud professionals for nearly four years. CardNotPresent.com CEO Steve Casco said offering online training is a natural extension of the company’s mission and complements the news and information of CardNotPresent.com and the face-to-face interaction provided by the CNP Expo.
“CardNotPresent.com continues to work to advance the knowledge base of the entire CNP industry,” Casco said. “From merchants, to acquirers, PSPs, fraud vendors and card associations, anyone can now easily find and complete the training they need to give them an edge on their competition.”
