Recurly, Kount Partner to Prevent Fraud for Subscription-Based Merchants

Recurring-billing platform provider Recurly and antifraud technology provider Kount today unveiled a partnership the companies said will help subscription-based merchants prevent the specialized types of fraud that most affect those businesses. Despite the obvious advantage of persistent, recurring revenue enjoyed by merchants employing a subscription model, the other side of the coin is they can be especially susceptible to card-not-present fraud and chargebacks. Recurly CEO Dan Burkhart said partnering with Kount to address these specific issues will enable subscription billers to keep more of that revenue.
