For merchants that accept card-not-present payments, every day is like a game of cops and robbers. This year’s CNP Expo, which opens its doors today at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Fla., is bringing that theme to life on stage in the form of two keynote speakers. Headlining Tuesday is former U.S. Most Wanted criminal Brett Johnson, who spent much of his life developing the techniques merchants struggle with every day. Wednesday’s featured speaker is law enforcement officer and certified fraud examiner John Pizzuro. Johnson and Pizzuro will give their takes on the same issue from two very different perspectives
But before that, today’s schedule includes our pre-conference Boot Camp for attendees who want to build foundational industry knowledge, our first merchant-only mixer (Gatlin Romm A-3 & A-4) and this first issue of the CNP Report: Expo Edition, the official source for CNP Expo news. Starting tomorrow, in addition to the keynotes, a full agenda of educational sessions and networking events begins, highlighted by industry keynotes from Discover and Worldpay.
Reporting on it all, The CNP Report: Expo Edition, which replaces the CNP Report this week, will have up-to-the-minute daily coverage through Thursday of the companies, people, news announcements, exhibit-hall demos and events taking place over the next four days. The CNP Report will return in its regularly scheduled Tuesday-and-Thursday format next week.
