MCX Looks to Expand Reach with InComm Partnership In the face of a big publicity splash from Apple, MCX unveiled a partnership this week that shows its focus is squarely on expanding the number of merchants that will accept its mobile payment solution. The merchant-backed mobile initiative has signed an agreement with InComm, a third-party provider of gift cards to nearly half a billion merchant locations. Atlanta-based InComm is integrated with the POS systems of 450,000 locations around the world that enable loading and redemption of gift and prepaid cards.

In addition to having access to InComm’s retailer partners around the world to grow acceptance, MCX will also be able to enhance its digital gift card and loyalty offerings through the partnership.
