Several companies serving the card-not-present payments space recently announced notable personnel moves:

Global Payments named Jeffrey S. Sloan CEO. Sloan joined the Atlanta-based payments processor in 2010 as head of its Americas business and worldwide mergers and acquisition strategy. Previously, he was a partner at Goldman Sachs, responsible for developing the investment bank’s worldwide payments practice.  

Paul Burmester has been named CEO of ValidSoft . The company, which specializes in using biometric authentication to fight fraud, said it will lean on Burmester’s experience in developing companies for mainstream commercial success. He has developed and led companies and teams in the IT, multimedia, telecom and wireless industries.

Mobile payments startup Clinkle said former Netflix CFO Barry McCarthy has joined the company as COO. McCarthy oversaw a 12-year period of tremendous growth at Netflix from 1999 to 2010. Since departing the streaming-content company, he has been an investor in various Internet startups.

Lisa Shipley has been named head of global strategy for payments by Transaction Network Services (TNS). The Reston, Va.-based data communications firm said Shipley will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for the payments division. Prior to joining TNS, Shipley was senior vice president of enterprise account at First Data. She also served in senior roles at Ingenico, Hypercom North America and NationsBank.

Long Beach, N.Y.-based processor Planet Payment has appointed Carl J. Williams as the company’s president. Williams comes from Pay Anywhere where he was managing director and previously served as president of worldwide payment processing for Global Payments and divisional president of merchant services at National Processing Company.

Banking technology advisory firm Graber Associates announced that its President, Ray Graber , has been named to the advisory board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston’s Consumer Payments Research Center (CPRC). The CPRC board, comprised of academics, economists, payments industry professionals, consumer experts and others guides the design and application of the CPRC’s survey tools and data analysis.

JetPay Payment Services , a division of payment services provider JetPay Corporation, said it has hired Jeffry A. Beene as senior vice president for risk management. Beene has served in executive-level compliance and operations positions at NetSecure Payments, FrontStream Payments and Pipeline Data Processing.

Melville, N.Y.-based ISO Pivotal Payments named several additions to its Partnership Program team. Suzanne Van Laar, Kip Nettles and Brian Price were named AVPs of partner acquisition. Justin Passalaqua, Chris Sandifer and Ryan Healey have each been named partnership manager.
