Dec. 3, 2015
Subscription billing technology provider Vindicia on Tuesday said it has been selected by the BBC to manage payments for the British broadcaster’s video-on-demand service, BBC Store. The Redwood City, Calif.-based company will enable BBC customers to pay for digital versions of the network’s television programs they can view through BBC iPlayer. Vindicia will enable payments including e-wallets, PayPal and gift cards.
“BBC Store allows UK audiences to buy and keep digital copies of the BBC television programs they love,” said David Gibbons, director of global operations at BBC Worldwide. “We’re delighted to have a payment platform that will manage this effectively and enhance our customers’ experience of BBC Store.”
