2015 CNP Award Winners Revealed

For the first time in its history, exactly half the CNP Awards handed out were presented to companies from outside the U.S., reinforcing the increasingly international nature of the card-not-present industry. The awards also introduced a new category that nods to a traditional technology—the Best Call Center Solution—that saw the Judges Choice Award go to Eckoh and the Customer Choice Award to Semafone, two U.K. companies.
Eckoh and Semafone were joined by Amsterdam-based processor and acquirer Adyen; Toronto-based mobile payment company Digital Retail Apps; Brazilian e-commerce payment provider EBANX; Ethoca, a Canadian antifraud technology provider; Dutch authentication technology provider IDchecker; and Optimal Payments, a global payment service provider headquartered on the Isle of Man as the other companies based outside the U.S. that received best-in-category recognition.
Ten other companies captured either Judges Choice or Customer Choice honors, chosen from a pool of 90 nominations, the most ever.
The CNP Awards were handed out tonight at a special celebration that took place during the CNP Expo at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Fla. CardNotPresent.com CEO Steve Casco, who handed out the awards to the honorees, noted how the results of this year’s event has mirrored the industry at large.
“As e-commerce and mobile payments continue to grow, retailers are reaching beyond their borders to find new markets more often,” said Casco. “That evolution is reflected in this year’s CNP Awards, which had a record number of nominations, a record number of votes for Customer Choice nominees and winners from around the globe. The CNP Awards have become the standard by which companies, programs and services around the world are being recognized and judged now and in the future.”
