YESpay Brings EMV Card Acceptance to Canada
May 13, 2010
YESpay International Ltd, a global payments processor, said its EMBOSS card payment service has been certified with Chase Paymentech as the first fully hosted EMV Chip and PIN payment service in Canada. The certification enables YESpay to provide retail and CNP credit and debit card payment acceptance services for merchants in Canada. Through EMBOSS, merchants can quickly implement EMV card acceptance solutions for their POS systems. It can also enhance their websites for online payments with minimal capital investment, according to a press release. “Our generic certification of EMBOSS is a major breakthrough in Canada,” said Rohit Patni, executive vice president of Sales and Marketing for YESpay. “Businesses of all sizes that have been facing in-house system certification issues, including the task of complying with PCI DSS regulations, can outsource their payment processing needs to YESpay, which takes on the responsibility, relinquishing a significant proportion of costs and timescale of PCI compliance and bank certification.” YESpay said EMBOSS helps merchants integrate online card payments with their existing retail infrastructures while providing a simplified migration path to EMV compliance for credit and debit in Canada.
