Worldpay, Syntec Offer PCI-Compliant Phone Orders
Sept. 4, 2014
This week, London-based e-commerce acquirer and processor Worldpay said it had partnered with Syntec to protect its merchants that accept payments over the phone. Syntec’s solution lets consumers enter payment-card information using their phone’s keypad that is never visible to the call-center agent taking their order. The solution can enable merchants to accept more orders by leveraging their call centers as a sales channel while ensuring PCI compliance, the companies said.
“Our joint proposition with Syntec offers a secure transaction service while removing the need for call centers to have onerous annual PCI audits,” said Kevin Dallas, chief product and marketing officer for Worldpay eCommerce. “Worldpay’s secure gateways can process more than 200 transactions per second, meaning Syntec customers will experience a seamless experience throughout the transaction process.”
