ValidSoft Joins ETA Mobile Payments Committee

Oct. 4, 2012

ValidSoft, a London-based antifraud and authentication company, announced it has joined the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) Mobile Payments Committee. The ETA this summer launched its mobile payments committee to develop policy, strategy and look at the security and interoperability issues that continue to limit the growth of mobile payments.

“As the Mobile Payments Committee convenes, security will be one of the central issues up for discussion, and ValidSoft is pleased to be playing a leading role in this area,” said Pat Carroll, CEO of ValidSoft. “An approach to security that works in line with customer expectations, but that also mitigates the risks of fraud is needed.”

AT&T, Google, Intuit, Isis, PayPal, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verifone and Verizon were founding members of the organization.
