USA ePay Joins SVP Network
Nov. 22, 2010
USA ePay, a Los Angeles-based payment gateway company, recently announced it will join the Secure Vault Payments (SVP) network. SVP, an alternative payment method that enables consumers to pay for online purchases via ACH transfers, was developed by NACHA (the association responsible for managing the ACH network) and eWise, an online payments technology provider. USA ePay said it will make the alternative payment option available to its 40,000 merchant clients before the end of the year. Martin Drake, vice president of business development at USA ePay said: “Secure Vault Payments functionality will significantly enhance our offering by enabling merchants more payment options to process transactions more efficiently with reduced risk and liability.” SVP automatically redirects consumers to their own online banking relationship to select which account they will use for payment when making online purchases. The consumer is then automatically returned to the merchant or biller website to receive payment confirmation.
