TNS, Trustwave Partner on Encryption Service

Aug. 26, 2013

Networking technology provider Transaction Network Services (TNS) and data security software provider Trustwave have partnered to launch a new encryption service to help merchants better protect their customers’ payment card information. Under the agreement, TNS will host Trustwave point-to-point encryption technology in its data centers that will enable TNS to take encrypted transactions from merchants and send the decrypted information on to processors. The companies said the platform is open and vendor agnostic and customers of both companies will be able to leverage the service to protect their consumers’ payment card data.

“We are always looking for innovative ways to help payment processors, financial institutions and merchants protect their valuable data,” said Doug Klotnia, general manager of compliance and risk management at Trustwave. “Since we will be connected to the TNS network, a network that reaches across a variety of platforms, we can expand our global reach to existing TNS and Trustwave customers as well as to new customers who are seeking better protection of their sensitive information.”
