The 4th Annual CNP Expo Welcomes the World When the CNP Expo opens its doors today in Orlando, Fla. it will welcome the largest number of attendees and exhibitors in its four-year history and more countries (27) will be represented by attendees than ever before.

“As e-commerce and mobile payments continue to grow, retailers are reaching beyond their borders to find new markets more often,” said Steve Casco, CEO of and the CNP Expo. “That evolution is reflected in this year’s CNP Expo—the most international in our history. With the ongoing implementation of EMV in the U.S and the liability shift scheduled for this October, merchants that accept card-not-present payments are bracing for a surge in fraud. With so many attendees coming to the CNP Expo from countries that have already experienced this migration, we expect a fruitful dialogue that can minimize the pain that seems so inevitable for their U.S. peers.”

Today’s schedule includes two closed-to-the-media pre-conference sessions and the first issue of the CNP Expo Download, the official source for CNP Expo news. Starting tomorrow, a full agenda of sessions begin, highlighted by keynote addresses from two e-commerce retailers that are turning traditional industries on their heads: Instacart in grocery and Rent the Runway in high fashion.

This afternoon, the popular pre-conference, half-day Boot Camp and Grad School sessions return. While the Boot Camp provides foundational knowledge, said Casco, the Grad School session provides a focused look at the fraud as it pertains to the entire consumer lifecycle.

Reporting on it all, The CNP Expo Download, which replaces the CNP Report this week, will have up-to-the-minute daily coverage (twice on Tuesday and Wednesday) of the companies, people, news announcements, exhibit-hall demos and events taking place over the next four days. The CNP Report will return in its regularly scheduled Monday-Thursday format next week.
