Tabbedout Launches SDK for Third-Party Mobile Payment Apps
Sept. 20, 2012
Tabbedout, a mobile app that enables diners to view and pay their tabs while eating out, yesterday announced the availability of a software development kit (SDK) that will allow third-party app developers and restaurant chains to use Tabbedout technology in their own branded mobile payment apps.
“We wanted to develop an SDK that makes it easy for third parties that work with restaurant chains to add our core mobile payment features,” said Kelly Harper, vice president of product development for Tabbedout. “With our POS integrations, restaurants can quickly incorporate the SDK into their apps and be up and running in no time, without the need for expensive hardware.”
The company said the new SDK supports iOS and Android and leverages Tabbedout’s integration with most major restaurant POS systems, including MICROS, NCR and many others.
