SumAll, MasterCard Deliver Big Data to Small Businesses
Nov. 18, 2013
Data analytics firm SumAll and MasterCard late last week unveiled a partnership they said will bring the benefits of big data to small and midsize businesses. Under the agreement, in which SumAll will integrate with MasterCard’s Simplify Commerce mobile and e-commerce platform, the two companies aim to make it easier for small merchants to accept e-commerce and mobile payments to utilize the data they collect.
By integrating the two platforms, small and midsize businesses that begin accepting mobile and online payments under the MasterCard program will have access to advanced data analysis they can use to offer increasingly targeted offers and marketing outreach.
“The caliber of SumAll’s analytic capabilities is an extremely compelling tool for merchants,” said Rahul Deshpande, technical evangelist for Simplify Commerce. “The insight that they can offer merchants, combined with the insights from Simplify Commerce’s payments data, allows for a wider runway for merchants to understand how to grow their business.”
