Second Keynote Added: Javelin Reveals New CNP Fraud Research

March 20, 2012

Phil Blank, managing director of Security, Risk & Fraud for Javelin Strategy and Research, has been added as a second keynote speaker at the 2012 CNP Expo on Tuesday, May 22.

In Eliminating CNP Fraud , Javelin surveyed 5,000 consumers to find out how they view security when making online and other CNP purchases. In a general session before the entire CNP Expo crowd, Blank will present Javelin’s vendor-neutral findings detailing what consumers really feel and do when confronted by potential fraud and how their decisions can impact buying choices. During the keynote, Blank will define frequent types of fraud, identify what items are most at risk of being stolen, explain how the steps merchants take to eliminate fraud affect consumers, present effective techniques to mitigate and counteract fraud and report on new technologies merchants can employ to reduce their exposure.

Javelin is an independent knowledge provider whose analysts cover security, risk and fraud, multichannel financial services, payments and the mobile channel. Blank’s experience covers more than 20 years in security, information technology, forensics and investigations.
