Pasadena, Calif.-based Alternative Payments, a company that provides alternative payment methods for e-commerce Websites worldwide, has added Russian online payment method QIWI to its roster of payment methods available to merchants by adding one button to their shopping cart. QIWI, launched in 2007, is used by more than 143 million consumers in Russia to make online payments including utilities, mobile bills and e-commerce purchases.

“Alternative Payments now provides this payment method as part of their service offering to merchants worldwide, which automatically includes customer support, currency conversion and comprehensive reporting,” the company said in a press release. “Not everyone uses a credit card when shopping online. By consolidating all currencies, countries, and languages into one button, Alternative Payments makes it easy for your business to accept payments on a global scale.”
