Report: Trump Hotels Breached Again?
April 7, 2016
While Donald Trump has been a big winner during most of this presidential election primary season, the luxury hotel chain bearing his name not been quite as lucky. The Trump Hotel Collection apparently has been a victim of a breach of its credit card systems for the second time in less than a year. Multiple sources have indicated a pattern of fraud on credit cards that points to Trump Hotels as their source, according to KrebsOnSecurity. The hotel industry was hammered by hackers last year with major breaches of payment card information at Starwood, Hilton, Mandarin and White Lodging in addition to Trump. The company has not confirmed a second breach, but said it is investigating.
“We are in the midst of a thorough investigation on this matter,” the Trump Hotel Collection said in a statement. “We are committed to safeguarding all guests’ personal information and will continue to do so vigilantly.”
