Report from NRF: EarthLink Launches PCI Solution

Jan. 17, 2013

At the National Retail Federation’s 102nd Annual Convention and Expo, IT services firm EarthLink unveiled its PCI Compliance Solution to the thousands of retailers gathered for the event this week in New York City. The Atlanta-based company said it partnered with compliance-solutions firm ANXeBusiness Corp. to develop the service that helps retailers meet PCI DSS requirements. The product provides merchants up to $100,000 per location to cover costs associated with a forensic audit, replacing the cards of affected customers and any accrued fines, in the event of a breach of their cardholder data environment.

“Our retail customers have made it clear that they want a partner willing to address overall business issues versus a traditional carrier that provides a connection to a store,” said Greg Griffiths, vice president of Network Services for EarthLink. “Our new PCI Compliance offering aligns well with our long-term strategy for expanding EarthLink’s value deeper into our retail customer base.”
