Realex Sees Online Transactions Up, Average Ticket Down London-based PSP Realex recently released numbers that suggest online shoppers are transacting more often but spending a bit less per transaction. Realex took a look at its top three online sectors—retail, insurance and finance—and found while annual transaction volume and value rose significantly (54 percent and 32 percent respectively) from 2012 to 2013, per-ticket transaction value decreased from £105 ($175) to £90 ($150).

“Over 2013 we have seen incredibly positive results, with both our value and volumes increasing significantly,” said Andrew Yoakley, head of business development for Realex. “The company now processes over £20 billion per annum for over 12,500 merchants and we forecast these growth rates to continue as we deliver on our expansion strategy.”
