Aug. 5, 2013
PULSE, the ATM and debit network owned and run by Discover, will work with Wellesley, Mass.-based Paydiant to offer a white-label cloud-based mobile wallet solution to PULSE’s financial institutions and merchant partners.
In a joint announcement, the companies said PULSE’s partners would benefit from a software-only merchant acceptance interface and an app they can brand as their own and configure how they want. Financial institutions and merchants will be able to determine the number and type of payment options their wallet supports and enable their customers to make payments and redeem offers at the POS.
“As a leading provider of authenticated debit transaction services, PULSE is positioned to connect all the key constituents in mobile payments,” said Kevin Laracey, co-founder of Paydiant. “They have an outstanding reputation as a trusted and reliable partner to both financial institutions and retailers for delivering secure payment services. This, in combination with PULSE’s open approach to mobile payments, will certainly help advance mobile wallet adoption.”
