Pond5 Chooses Adyen for International E-Commerce Processing
June 27, 2013
Pond5, an online provider of stock video, photos and other media, today said it has chosen Adyen as its domestic and international payments processor. In March of this year, Pond5 grew through acquisition from a single e-commerce site in the U.S. to an international company with multiple processing relationships. The company said it turned to Adyen to consolidate its global payments operation under one provider that can support local payments in all the geographies it now operates.
“Pond5’s acquisition of Pixmac presented a unique challenge from a payments perspective—vaulting the company from one international site to having operations in 17 countries virtually overnight,” said Peter Caparso, president of Adyen North America. “Adyen has the payment solutions, knowledge and expertise to help online merchants easily expand anywhere across six continents, but we make it simple, seamless and secure enough so that merchants feel as if they’re only accepting payments in their back yard.”
Adyen will process payments for Pond5 initially in Austria, Brazil, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland and the U.K. The companies said the list will expand to 20 countries “in the near future.”
