PaymentOne, a San Jose-based provider of phone-enabled payments for landline, broadband, and mobile carrier billing, has launched AnyPhone, a payment method for online dating services. The company said the leading companies in online dating and social media are seeking new payment methods that enable participation without requiring a credit card. “We see a fast growing interest for additional payment solutions from online dating, match making, and the social media industry,” said Brad Singer, executive vice president at PaymentOne. “Carrier-based billing allows companies to offer consumers an easy and secure way to pay from any device without credit cards.” Singer said the AnyPhone solution enables consumers to pay for virtual goods and digital subscriptions by charging them to their mobile, landline or broadband phone bills.
