NorseCorp Nets $3.5 Million in New Financing
Sept. 7, 2012
Internet security solutions provider NorseCorp this week announced it has raised $3.5 million in new funding the company said will support the upcoming launch of several new products and the addition of key staff. The cash infusion will help support several expansion initiatives already underway, according to Skip Foss, COO of NorseCorp.
“We’ve already grown to about 150 percent of where we were last year in terms of headcount. We’ll continue that trajectory,” said Foss. “We’ve opened an office in San Francisco and are looking to do strategic advancement in Latin America. We will also be looking into expansion in the U.K. and Europe and probably Asia Pacific.”
Foss indicated a major product announcement would be forthcoming in the next few weeks that will significantly affect “the ability of the small and medium sized businessman to enhance the financial management of their accounts.” In April, St. Louis-based NorseCorp launched a payment gateway incorporating the company’s IP Viking anti-fraud technology.
