NorseCorp Launches Payment Gateway

April 24, 2012

NorseCorp, a provider of real-time Internet security intelligence services, today launched the nGate Payment Gateway. The St. Louis-based company says the e-commerce processing offering “represents a significant departure from traditional gateways” that generally avoid incorporating fraud detection.

The company has incorporated its patent pending IPViking technology in the gateway, which it says reduced fraudulent chargebacks by 30 percent over six months for one of its clients. In addition to handling most types of transactions, NorseCorp says nGate includes integration with popular accounting software QuickBooks, master and sub-accounts that can support retail and online operations and PCI-compliant information storage, reducing merchants’ PCI scope and cost.

“nGate gives payment processors and ISOs a powerful weapon in the fight against customer churn and shrinking margins,” says Skip Foss, chief product officer for NorseCorp. “By stopping the criminals in their tracks, we reduce fees and penalties for merchants. Groundbreaking features like Quickbooks integration and the ability to support the online and offline operations of a large merchant with a single account add even more value.”
