Optimal Payments Signs on with F1 Racing Team

May 29, 2012

U.K.-based online payment gateway provider Optimal Payments yesterday revealed that it has signed a partnership agreement with a team in one of the most popular auto racing circuits in the world. Optimal Payments, headquartered on the Isle of Man, says it will work with the Lotus F1 Team to create “unique solutions for credit card, debit card, and alternative methods of payment in a card-not-present environment.” Specifically, Optimal Payments will work with the Lotus F1 Team’s e-commerce division as it sells in North America, Europe and Asia.

“We are entering an exciting phase in the development of our business model,” says Eric Boullier, team principal for the Lotus F1 Team. “Bringing on board partners who can support us, and our associates, is a key part of maximizing the commercial opportunities we see from the broader Formula One business.”
