CNP Award Winners Revealed

Ten card-not-present service providers took home 20 awards in eight different categories today in the first annual CNP Awards. The awards, presented by Steven Casco, founder and president of CardNotPresent.com, at a special session of the CNP Expo in Orlando, Fla., honor the companies, programs and solutions that have distinguished themselves in the card-not-present space in the last year.

At the awards ceremony this afternoon, Casco explained why the CNP Expo originated and how the awards grew out of a spirit of inclusion he says cannot be found in other events aimed at this payments niche, which includes the growing segments of e- and m-commerce.

“When we set out to create the CNP Expo we did so with the intention of creating a world-class event that emphasized inclusion. Inclusion for merchants and services providers of all types and sizes. And we succeeded,” Casco said this afternoon at the Buena Vista Palace Resort and Spa in the shadow of Walt Disney World. “We have attendees, speakers, exhibitors and sponsors representing companies from a dozen countries around the world and organizations from sole proprietorships to the largest processors in the world.”

The 2012 CNP Award Judges Choice winners and First Runners Up were selected by a panel of five judges with deep ties to and experience in card-not-present payments. An additional award in each category was chosen by a vote of customers and partners of the nominees.

Irish processor OmniPay was the big winner, taking four awards back to Dublin. Dutch processor Adyen, Dallas-based processor Chase Paymentech, San Francisco processor and gateway provider Digital River World Payments, Atlanta-based processor First Data, Boise, Idaho-based anti-fraud technology provider Kount and Munich, Germany-based direct carrier billing technology provider mopay also took home multiple awards.
