GlobalCollect Merchants Offer Carrier Billing via BOKU

CNP payments solutions provider GlobalCollect has partnered with direct carrier billing technology provider BOKU to offer customers of the processor’s merchant clients the ability to charge online purchases to their mobile phone bill. While direct carrier billing can be more costly for a merchant to offer, the payment method traditionally converts browsers to buyers at a higher rate than other alternatives. BOKU is no exception to this rule, according to James Patmore, senior vice president and managing director of BOKU.

“Our merchant partners typically see significant, immediate increases in their market reach and checkout conversion, and we expect the same for GlobalCollect merchants,” says Patmore. “BOKU offers GlobalCollect merchants an opportunity to enhance their purchase experience by adding the convenience of BOKU for all types of digital goods and services.”

BOKU says its network is available in 67 countries through more than 260 mobile network operators.
