Gaming Company Offers Maestro Acceptance via GlobalCollect

Dutch e-commerce processor GlobalCollect this week extended a partnership with browser-based game publisher XS Software to include support for Maestro, MasterCard’s debit solution for e-commerce. XS Software, which has been processing Maestro in beta testing since April in several European countries, found accepting Maestro resulted in a 9.13 percent increase in revenue and a more than 10 percent increase in debit and credit card transactions in the test markets.

“Starting the partnership with GlobalCollect in February 2010, was one of the most important steps in payments globalization and optimization for our company,” says Dimitar Yanchev, project manager at XS Software. “GlobalCollect goes beyond payments as their exclusive expertise in the gaming industry supports as many local alternative payments as possible to have better success rates as well as wider coverage in the markets.”
