BigCommerce Integrates SecureNet in E-Commerce Solution for Processing

July 12, 2012

E-commerce software provider BigCommerce this week said it has selected SecureNet Payment Systems to process online transactions for its merchant clients. Austin, Texas-based BigCommerce provides tools to build and manage the online storefront for more than 25,000 clients totaling nearly $1 billion in online sales.

“This integration will enable our merchants to leverage the extensive functionality, future innovations and economic advantages a direct processing partner like SecureNet provides,” says Steven R. Power, chief revenue officer at BigCommerce. “We are excited to deliver SecureNet’s robust platform to our merchants, giving their customers the ability to pay where, when and however they desire. At the same time, with research showing that accepting credit cards can more than double a company's sales, this partnership is vital to our efforts to enable our customers to sell more.”

SecureNet, a Rockville, Md.-based payments processor, will add BigCommerce’s retailers to its roster of 14,000 merchants that process $12 billion in payments annually.
