MoBank Platform Implements Complete Mobile Commerce Solutions
March 12, 2012
Last week, The MoBank Group, a U.K.-based company that bills itself as “bridging the gap between the payments and mobile world,” launched MoPowered, a managed service it says enables merchants to integrate a mobile retailing platform from site build through payment. The MoBank Group says it believes MoPowered will significantly improve accessibility to mobile retailing for all merchants.
“Our own data aligns with the recent statement made by Google which states that up to 15 percent of online traffic is via mobile,” says Dominic Keen, CEO of The MoBank Group. “This means that not having a mobile site is like closing your Website for one day a week. Our models suggest that approximately £10 billion ($15.7 billion) of commerce is being lost each year, a significant chunk of the U.K. economy.”
MoPowered says it charges predominantly through pay-per-purchase models and provides completely secure mobile payment capabilities which are PCI-DSS compliant and compatible with Verified by Visa and Mastercard Securecode.
