Linkpay Launches Cloud-Based Merchant-Services Platform
July 10, 2014
Linkpay, a payments platform designed for omnichannel commerce, announced its official launch this week. The San Diego-based ISO will leverage the cloud to deliver what it calls a comprehensive array of merchant payment services for online, mobile and in-store channels including merchant accounts, gateways, card-storage and tokenization, subscription billing, PCI services and local payment methods for cross-border e-commerce. Founder James Byler, a payments industry veteran who was serving as the head of North America and international for online payment processor Ogone when it was acquired by Ingenico, said Linkpay’s cloud architecture is a differentiator when delivering a one-stop solution.
“We see huge pent-up demand for an omnichannel cloud solution, particularly in the development community” said Byler. “We see fragmented solutions in the market today ranging from payment aggregators offering small online companies U.S. credit-card processing, to banks offering point-of-sale solutions, to foreign software companies offering regional county-by-country connections. Companies today require a single partner for all channels, whether they are a retail merchants going online, an online merchants going mobile, or an online merchant expanding globally.”
