Kuapay Brings Mobile Solution to NYC

Kuapay, a Santa Monica, Calif.-based mobile payment technology provider revealed late last week it has expanded beyond its Southern California base to begin serving merchants in New York City. Kuapay has implemented its solution—which enables customers to pay at the POS by scanning a mobile device that presents a QR code—at The Bean, a local coffee emporium with three Manhattan locations.

In addition to the coffee house’s three East Village locations, Kuapy is powering mobile payments at a Midtown bakery called The Little Pie Company.
