Javelin Looks at E-Commerce Payment Providers
Dec. 2, 2010
California-based payments consultancy Javelin Strategy & Research issued a report yesterday that examines several e-commerce payment providers. In E-Commerce Platform Review: A Detailed Comparison of 11 Internet Payment Processing Solution Providers , Javelin reviewed leading online platform providers, identifying each platform’s key product features and examining each provider’s value proposition, market positioning and differentiation. “When it comes to choosing an e-commerce solution provider, one size does not fit all. Solutions should be assessed based on the operational match, feature/functionality mix, support for targeted merchant and market requirements and in order to drive maximum return on investment,” said James Van Dyke, President and Founder. “Merchants should also choose solutions that will enable them to cost effectively and efficiently reduce fraud and chargebacks and monitor and analyze sales performance and revenue.” The 11 leading providers that are compared in Javelin’s report are Adyen, Chase Paymentech, CyberSource (Visa), Elavon, Fifth Third Processing Solutions, First Data, First National Merchant Solutions, Litle & Co., Merchant e-Solutions, PayPal, and (RBS) WorldPay.
