In-App Mobile Payment Provider Launches HTML5 Version
June 4, 2012
ZooZ, a mobile payments company that enables in-app payment on iOS and Android devices, last week launched an HTML5 mobile Web version of its development kit. The Israel-based company said the new version enables developers to add payment capability to HTML5 and hybrid apps that work with mobile and desktop browsers. The startup says its solution can process payments via PayPal and nearly all major credit cards for virtual and physical goods without a merchant code or payment gateway. The ZooZ SDK also supports a range of currencies and languages from around 150 countries. The service funnels payment directly into a developer’s bank account, PayPal account, or a prepaid MasterCard. ZooZ charges 2.8 percent plus $0.19 per transaction.
For consumers, once payment details for the first purchase have been entered, they are securely stored using patent-pending bank-grade security technology the company says prevents leakage of sensitive details and reduces fraud, allowing for a faster payment process in future purchases.
