Genius Takes Smaller Merchants Omnichannel

Aug. 8, 2013

On Tuesday, Merchant Warehouse extended its Genius Customer Engagement Platform to serve small and midsize merchants that want to implement omnichannel environments. At its February launch, the platform enabled merchants to accept many different mobile payment types at the point of sale. This most recent version of the platform addresses the needs of merchants that sell through online and various mobile channels including mobile Web, apps or in-aisle checkout. The company said the extension of the Genius platform enables traditional brick-and-mortar merchants to easily add online and remote mobile capability.

“Shopping has become a 24/7 event, so retailers must be capable of conducting commerce whenever, wherever and however a customer wants in order to remain competitive,” said Henry Helgeson, CEO of Merchant Warehouse. “Many big-box stores have figured out how to create a consistent shopping experience, regardless of the channel. Now, with Merchant Warehouse’s solutions, small to midsized businesses can take advantage of the same omnichannel capabilities as a big-box store, encouraging a deeper and more consistent interaction with each of their customers.”
