FIS Government Solutions Facilitate Recurring Payments

Nov. 10, 2011

Jacksonville, Fla.-based processor FIS said recently it has signed multi-year agreements with numerous state and local government entities to deploy its government payments solutions. FIS said its platform enables government entities to accept payments for recurring services, such as public utilities, or for one-time fees, fines and citations. For government agencies that have deployed the solution, their constituents have the flexibility of paying taxes, fees and bills via the Internet, by phone or at point-of-sale terminals using credit cards, debit cards or checks. Frank D’Angelo, executive vice president of FIS Payment Solutions Group said: “FIS’ Government Payments solutions take the burden of processing endless amounts of paperwork off of the agencies that are providing assistance.”
