Ethoca Fraud Prevention Available to GB Group Customers

May 6, 2010

Ethoca Limited, a provider of card-not-present fraud detection services, announced a partnership with London-based identity management company, GB Group. Under the arrangement, Ethoca will make its new Ethoca360 Negative Signals service available to all GB Group customers through their URU identity verification service. The Ethoca360 Negative Signals service was recently made available for free and is the first and only one of its kind. For merchants who sign up now and until further notice, Ethoca has committed to keeping the Negative Signals version of Ethoca360 Signals free forever. Although a commercial grade service, Ethoca decided to make it freely available to all online merchants in an effort to accelerate market adoption, build broader industry collaboration and help stem the massive losses that are suffered to online fraud each year. “Integrating Negative Signals fraud screening into our URU identity verification service allows our customers to make more informed decisions about card-not-present transactions during the all-important account signup process,” said John Lord, Managing Director, GB Group. “Our customers are increasingly concerned about online and identity fraud, and it is crucial for GB Group to remain up-to-date with the latest technologies and services. We are delighted to partner with Ethoca as its Negative Signals service is the first of its kind to be made available at no charge to help fight fraud.”
