Dunkin’ Runs on CorFire

Atlanta-based mobile commerce solutions provider CorFire yesterday revealed that its technology powers the new mobile app launched last month by Dunkin’ Donuts. The app lets customers pay with a virtual reloadable Dunkin’ Donuts card rendered on their phones as a QR code (similar to the app launched by its more upscale coffee-and-pastry competitor Starbucks, one of the most successful mobile payment programs created so far).
“Dunkin’ Donuts is a great example of a merchant whose products and in-store environment are ideal for mobile purchases,” said Jon Squire, chief marketing officer of CorFire. “Incorporating a mobile wallet offering to a customer base that is always on the go enhances their overall shopping experience, increases convenience and drives in-store foot traffic. Dunkin’ Donuts has truly embraced the mobile medium.”
