Discover Agrees to Support Apple Pay Apple Pay continued to gain momentum this week. Not only did MCX member Best Buy agree to accept the mobile payment method, now Discover card users in the U.S. can load their cards in Apple Pay and use their phones at the POS and for in-app purchases. The Riverwoods, Ill.-based payment card network, which was the last major U.S. credit card company that did not support Apple Pay, said iPhone6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch users will be able to load Discover cards into Apple Pay starting in the fall.

“As the mobile payments landscape matures, Discover remains committed to giving cardmembers secure options for using their cards and mobile devices,” said Diane Offereins, Discover’s president of payment services. “Discover’s focus on simplicity and value for our cardmembers aligns well with the way Apple Pay makes purchases easy and convenient.”
