Digital River to Simplify Online Amex Acceptance
Dec. 26, 2012
Just prior to the Christmas holiday, e-commerce giant Digital River and American Express revealed an agreement under which Digital River World Payments will make it easier for online merchants that want to accept American Express on their e-commerce Websites. The Minneapolis-based company said the partnership enables Digital River World Payments to act as a “single commercial, technical and operational connection for global online merchants” accepting American Express cards. The company said the agreement will enable more merchants that want a turnkey e-commerce solution to accept more payment options.
“We continue to expand our global payments portfolio, equipping merchants with more payment options and creating new opportunities for them to increase their international online market share,” said Souheil Badran, senior vice president and general manager of Digital River World Payments. “Through our payments gateway, we offer merchants global connectivity to payment options that span virtually every country.”
