Digital River to Enable Subscription Billing for Siemens CAD Software

Recently, Minneapolis-based e-commerce solutions provider Digital River said it has been chosen by Siemens for technology that manages subscription sales and billing of its product lifecycle management software. The Siemens unit, based in Plano, Texas, will make its Solid Edge computer-aided design (CAD) software available to customers on a subscription basis in the U.S., U.K. and Japan. Digital River will supply Siemens with its online smartChannel solution which it said will enable its software customers to make automatic monthly payments using standard online payment methods including credit cards or PayPal.
