Aug. 26, 2010

Reston, Va. Payments processor Transaction Network Services (TNS) has signed an agreement with Continental Airlines that enables the U.S. carrier to use the TNSPay gateway to authorize online payment transactions. Under the terms of the agreement, Continental Airlines will process online payments from its reservations system through TNS’ TNSPay gateway. The TNSPay platform is a PCI certified payments solution that enables merchants to securely accept payments over the Internet or other Card Not Present environments. “We will process millions of card-not-present transactions each year with TNS providing access to its global payments network,” said Ron Anderson-Lehman, senior vice president and CIO at Continental Airlines. “In addition, we will no longer need to divert resources to making payment scheme updates. TNS will take care of these which will result in substantial cost savings. This allows Continental Airlines to focus on our core strengths and priorities.”
