Climbing the Ladder Several companies serving the card-not-present payments space recently announced notable personnel moves:

Online billing technology provider BillingTree recently announced several additions to its leadership team. Nils Krumins was named senior director of Professional Services and Chad Probst was promoted to vice president of Sales and Business Development. Jason Hiland , who oversees the Mid-Atlantic Sales Region, has taken on the additional role of assistant sales manager.

Digital gift card technology provider CashStar has made several experienced hires to bolster its leadership. The Portland, Maine-based company appointed PayPal, Google and Parago vet Matt Kerper as vice president of strategic business development and Martin Hood , a former executive at Blackhawk Network and Intelispend, as vice president of channel partnerships.

As its new Global Director of Issuer Channel Development, Fernando Lopez will help global card issuing processors and outsourced service providers take part in antifraud technology provider Ethoca’s collaboration network between issuers and merchants. During nearly two decades, Lopez has held senior positions with FICO, TransUnion, and Royal Bank of Canada.

London-based authentication technology company myPINpad has named Phillip Dunkelberger to its board of directors. Dunkelberger is a 30-year veteran of the IT industry with stints as CEO of PGP Corporation and Nok Nok Labs. He is a founding member of the FIDO Alliance and has served leadership roles at Apple, Symantec and Xerox.

Payworks , a mobile payments technology provider based in Munich, Germany, has hired Brian Reaves as head of Business Development. Reaves was a founding member of mobile contactless payment provider LoopPay where he was president of International charged with expanding the Loop’s service beyond the United States.

Patrick Dix was appointed as senior public relations manager at Des Moines, Iowa-based EFT network SHAZAM . Prior to SHAZAM, Dix was a morning news anchor for NBC affiliate WHO-HD in Desmoines.

Worldpay US has hired Michael Wasserfuhr as chief financial officer. Previously, Wasserfuhr was CFO at Ingenico North America and he held senior executive positions with Putzmeister America and TUV Rheinland of North America.
