Report: Tablets Now Account for Over Half of Mobile Transaction Volume BlueSnap, a Waltham, Mass.-based online and mobile payments provider, yesterday unveiled an upgraded version of its “BuyNow” hosted checkout page. BlueSnap said the design of the page has been re-engineered using heat map research to more effectively guide consumers’ eyes through the buying process. Other improvements include easier customization, a way to A/B test different configurations and technology that automatically will adapt the page for optimal performance depending on the device being used. BlueSnap made the changes to its hosted checkout page specifically to help merchants convert more shoppers to buyers, according to Ralph Dangelmaier, CEO of BlueSnap.

“Hosted checkout is critical for businesses that don’t have the time or resources to build their own purchase pages in every language and meet the PCI security requirements needed to accept cards,” said Dangelmaier. “Our new BuyNow pages not only fill a void in the market created by vendors who do not offer the hosted option but also provide a rich set of enhancements designed specifically to increase conversion rates.”
